NECTA Form Four Timetable 2025 CSEE

NECTA is a government institution established by Law in 1973 with the responsibility of administering national examinations in Tanzania. Before 1973, all national examinations were administered by the Curriculum and Examinations Section of the Ministry of Education after Mainland Tanzania had pulled out of the East African Examinations Council in 1971. Having been established, NECTA took over this responsibility but Curriculum issues continued to be handled by the Ministry of Education and the University College, Dar es Salaam until another autonomous institution, the Institute of Curriculum Development (ICD) was established in 1975, which was renamed as the Tanzania Institute of Education (TIE) in 1993.

The Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE), administered by the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA), is an important test for students who have finished four years of secondary school. The exact dates and hours for each topic examination are listed in the CSEE schedule, which is normally published once a year.

Schedule of Examinations

They can also select up to two more subjects from a variety of categories, such as business subjects (bookkeeping and commerce), home economics subjects (food and nutrition and textile and dress making), technical subjects (such as electrical installation or carpentry and joinery), natural sciences (chemistry and physics), and elective subjects like agricultural science or Bible knowledge.
